Police arrested a man who attempted to run from them —twice— and was later found with a substantial amount of marijuana.

Jamie Coullard, 27, of Granger, fled from a traffic stop on Ash Road and Glenhaven Drive in Granger around 2:20 a.m. Monday, March 18, according to a report from the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department.

Police followed Coullard through the Glenhaven Subdivision and then on Ash Road into Cobus Green Mobile Home Park. Coullard then got out of his vehicle and ran around the mobile home park until he was caught.

Police found more than 30 grams of marijuana separately packaged. Coullard was also found with drug paraphernalia and digital scales.

Coullard was booked in the Elkhart County Jail on preliminary charges of dealing in marijuana, possession of more than 30 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting law enforcement and driving while suspended-prior.
