The Elkhart County Health Department shut down a Ligonier woman’s food operation in Elkhart County.
According to a press release, Irma Magana was selling tortas and gorditas from the truck of her van at Kinro Inc., 1206 Eisenhower Drive South, Goshen.
She doesn’t have a licensed kitchen, according to the health department. Complaints about her sales resulted in their inspection and action against her selling in the parking lot.
The health department is urging people who see mobile food units selling food in Elkhart County without a current license sticker to call 574-971-4600 to report the violation.
The Elkhart County Health Department takes this issue seriously and cracks down on you if you don’t have a license.
