Who’s cooking your Thanksgiving turkey tomorrow?
My mother is cooking ours. She plans to bake it and debone it. None of the erupting turkey that was in National Lampoon’s “Christmas Vacation.” (The turkey carving starts at 1:45.)
My mother wouldn’t make turkey that bad anyway.
Friends have asked if I’m frying a turkey. Not this Thanksgiving. I’ve fried about 60 or so over the last 20 years, but not this holiday.
A friend did ask if I was at Margaret and Helen’s Thanksgiving party last year. I told her I wouldn’t waste a turkey to start a fire.
Happy Thanksgiving. We have much to be thankful for. I plan to go run, eat plenty and enjoy being with family and friends.
Enjoy your turkey. And if you have a few minutes, enjoy the clip from WKRP Cincinnati, the best television reference of all time to turkeys.
“Oh the humanity.”
